<sub>Hello and Welcome to the S. E. Hinton Club! :] We are DeviantArt's first and only club dedicated entirely to the works of S. E. Hinton, specifically all of her novels aimed at teens, such as The Outsiders, Rumble Fish, Tex, Taming The Star Runner, and That Was Then, This Is Now. I am still setting everything up, but if you are a fan of any of the brilliant books (or movie adaptations) previously listed, please join by simply watching the club and putting our icon in your journal.

Please send the club a note with the link to your S.E. Hinton inspired art or literature. All mediums of art are accepted, but try to keep everything PG-13. D;

CONTEST(?!):
Yup, I believe we finally have enough members to have a real live contest. :] And seeing as how Valentine's Day is slowly creeping up on us, I thought an appropriate theme would be pairings from different Hinton books. Oh yes. So here are the rules...

-All mediums and forms of art are accepted!
-You may slash any characters in any of the books that you like, but try to avoid OC's. Sorry, guys. :[
-Please keep it (reasonably) clean. At least, don't submit anything that would have to include a mature content warning.
-Send your submissions in a note to the club with a link to the deviation. (Just like you would submit any art to the club.) Please specify that it is a contest entry by putting "Contest Submission" or something to that effect in the note's title. You can submit as many entries as you like. :]
-The deadline is February 14th, which is when the voting will begin and continue for one week, at which point the winner will be announced. (Sorry it's such a tight deadline, but I have faith in you!)
-The winner receives one request from , their entry as the club's featured deviation, and the choice of what the next contest's theme should be. (It's the best I could do right now. )

UPDATE: Okay, so I'm afraid we have not heard any updates on the Valentine's Day contest for quite some time and it is totally MY FAULT. We have also gained several new members in the past month or so, and they have not been added to the club members list up here because I am a very lazy, bad person. Please feel free to throw things at me. D: ( the new members are updated now though. Finally.) About the contest... while I was being neglectful, we got another contest submission, so... um... I don't really want to pit just two pictures against each other, so... does anyone want to submit one more entry? xD I will continue the contest until the 14th of May, at which point voting will take place, new entries or not.
